  • To premise, let me say that I am roughly 5 foot 9, 175kg, and athletic. I have been in tight situations before, like going to the top of the St. Peters Basilica where there are tight staircases and on...  more »
  • 3000 years BC, the Hittites period since outgoing are used as living space. Eight floors of an underground city. Room room inhabited by different groups and to guard against attacks from the outside stone door features a lovely underground city. They definitely closed place phobic.

  • Well another great adventure in Turkey Me my wife and out 8 month old spend about 2 hours underground. It wasn't to hot and by taking our time and several water / baby feeding breaks it worked out well. Several time we sat down in a random cave to take a break. This really made imagining living here come to life. Great piece of history Path is well put together and well kept. Not to crowded the day we went. Not for those who don't like small spaces, however even carrying a baby kangaroo style there is room for the adventurous
  • Visited this historical underground city in dec 2012. Amazing place.
  • Historically interesting and worthy of a short tour of the ancient shelter used as far back as perhaps the Hittites - most definitely the early Christians
  • Fascinating history. Tunnels require crouching quite low. Spaces get tight. Not for the claustrophobic. 20TL admission. Kids under 12 are free.
  • Great view, long time ago hide underground city, have deep 7 floor. Must be go here.
