Create an itinerary including Iztuzu Beach 2
Iztuzu Beach 2 is a narrow but long stretch of sand that acts as a barrier between the Dalyan River and the Mediterranean Sea. With 4.5 km (2.79 mi) of sand, it rarely feels crowded. Often referred to as "Turtle Beach," it is a main breeding ground for these creatures, which you're sure to catch sight of. The federal government has made efforts to protect the species, leaving the area untouched and restricting public access for periods of time. While this may be frustrating for some, it is the reason the beach has retained its original beauty. That said, check ahead to make sure it's open to the public during your stay. Put Iztuzu Beach 2 on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Dalyan journey planner.

  • One of the best unspoilt beaches. Take a water taxi to one end of the beach. Walk to the other end and take a dolmas back to Dalyan. Don’t forget to take in the Sea Turtle Conservation centre.

  • Such a lovely beach, well worthy of a visit. You'll be hard pushed to beat this place. 15 lira to park a car or get the public bus or boat, about a pound each
  • This is a nice long beach, there are plenty of sun beds to be hired at a reasonable price. The beach is big enough not to be too crowded and there's plenty of space for everyone. There are free public toilets and access to snacks and meals at 2 different cafes. Prices at these are reasonable and service is good. The beach is famous for the turtles that nest and hatch here, we came out of season the for the nesting but you can see the turtles in the bay in their natural environment
  • You can feed the turtles that usually swim here to put their eggs in to the sandy beach. That's why it is close from 8 p.m. till 8 o'clock.
  • İztuzu beach is probably one of the best beaches in Marmaris for kids. The water is extremely shallow for about 100m, secluded, surrounded by rocky hills, huge car park and proper showers. The beach area is a bit dirty, unattended and rough but it definitely worth a day of fun.
  • The best beach ever.20 minutes from dalyan city by car. 15 lira entrance fee for a car. Clean beach with wash room, changing room, mosque and a cafe. Must visit with family. The water is clean and the beach is sandy. It is not deep in the beginning so ideal for children. Access for wheel chair also available. Take water and food along and enjoy the time.
