  • You are so high on the hilltop you can see "forever." The temple is great and the stadium is pretty amazing if you climb down from the top. This was our first stop on the 7 churches tour we drove ours...  more »
  • The acropolis of Pergamon, this in it high of a hill that dominates the modern city of Bergama. Founded by the Aeolians Greeks in the 7TH century a. C., was ruled a time by one of the generals of Alexander the great. The city prospered under the dynasty of the Atalidas. The last ruler of this dynasty, Attalus III, gave the Kingdom to Rome in 133 BC, and Pergamon became the capital of the Roman province of Asia. the great physicist, Galen was born in this city in 129 BC, and established in it a great Center doctor known as Asclepius. Buy your tickets in advance, because there are too much people, bring comfortable shoes and sunscreen.
