  • Humble City mosque. After the Istanbul course produces no impressions. Explore the old town and go see obligatory or not decide on site

  • Situated at the entrance to the Kaleici quarters. Beautiful coloured tiles above the windows. Take off your shoes (ladie's head scarfs on loan) and enter. Good for a moment's pause.  more »

  • An ancient mosque which was built in 1500. Still got perisan caligraphy inside it.
  • First time ever in my own life that I had entered a Mosque, it was this one. Overwhelmed by its serenity and simplicity when inside. Photo-taking allowed inside the Mosque with prior permission.
  • It is a mosque with six domes ana is a remarkable example of the typical mosques with multiple domes characteristic of the region and which has replaced the original mosque destroyed in the 14th century. Nearby is a striking white Tomb built by a local ruler to her daughter who died in 1277.

The Mediterranean holiday spot of Antalya is abundant in places to stay. The Old Town of Kaleiçi boasts a plethora of small guesthouses and hostel offerings set in traditional Ottoman houses of stone. Often accompanied by a charming backyard pool and garden out front, these affordable accommodations are just a stone's throw from the harbor and amenities. You can find a few upscale boutique hotels here as well. If you're looking to splurge a little more, head to the suburb of Lara, just east of Antalya.
