Alanya Shipyard, Alanya

(4.5/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Take a walk through Alanya Shipyard to enjoy picturesque coastal views and rich historical atmosphere. This ancient site was built in 1226 and is Turkey's only remaining Seljuk shipyard. Remarkably preserved, it boasts five docks, a small guardhouse, and restored stone arches. A leisurely stroll along the walkway reveals a number of archeological findings that have been put on display. Be sure to look for the inscription on the dockyard gate, featuring the emblem of Keykubat Sultan who commissioned the shipyard, decorated with rosettes. Work out when and for how long to visit Alanya Shipyard and other Alanya attractions using our handy Alanya vacation route planner.

  • Red Tower under the shipyard docks a ticket and you can see both the tower. If you go to the afternoon hours of summer. Because the shadow is falling into the sea. Shipyard saw a cafe and a small landing hotel. Prices reasonable and can be evaluated. If you have been in the time of the Seljuks shipyard went up the tower and you will surely see distance too short.

  • Place for walks, to receive impressions, to just sit in the Cafe and inhale the scent of the sea and travel)))

  • When you enter the port towards the shipyard you have some cool trails. At these paths you might end up come true at the Red Tower, beach or some rocks where you can unwind. A lovely place to stay if you just want to be.
