  • It's on the must list if you are on the road Nemrut. Incredibly huge ancient city from Persian to Romans. A lot of cave tombs. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen. If you come summer don't recommend at noon time due to extreme hot condition. You can watch an information video about the place in the museum shop while you are drinking cold-water or ice cream.
  • Ruins of a lost kingdom. Interesting learning experience.
  • You must be fit as there's a lot of climbing and stoney terrain but well worth a visit only 12 ,5 to get in.
  • The people who made the sculptures on Mount Nemrut chose Pirin among the cemeteries. Pirin, which is an old settlement and later a burial city, is an exemplary place that shows how indifferent and disrespectful our state and our people are to the historical heritage. The village of Pirin, next to the ruins, is a village built on this cemetery. The village is a protected area, but the settlement continues. Even in Europe, that village would have been expropriated, the land was taken under protection and evacuated, but this is Turkey. Pirin, which is a magnificent city of rock tombs, which I strongly recommend you to go and see, is almost in the city of Adıyaman today. It is very close to the centre. Before you go to Nemrut, visit this place. This place was chosen by the people who own the rock tombs because of its special location, which directly sees the statues of Mount Nemrut. Eat your meal at Iskender 85 steakhouse in Adıyaman, it is a quality and affordable place. If you like fish, choose the place of Uncle Sürgü Ali. Among the hotels, choose Hilton because it is newly built...
  • A historical site. The staff are very concerned. There is an entrance fee, the museum card is free for teachers and students.
