The pride of Monistir. The fabulous ancient ruins giving amazing views over the Mediterranean. For those of you that remember Monty python's Life of Brian, this was one of the locations for the film and it becomes obvious which scenes on entering the castle. A must place to visit.

This was the best ribat in Tunisia that I visited. It has amazing views of the town, mausoleum and coastline. Furthermore it’s well maintained and even has a small museum with a petit collection of artefacts, pottery, coins and history of the restoration of the site. Very nice 👍
