  • The price for the museum is included in your ticket for Amphitetare, so, do yourself a favor and visit it! I am a lover of mosaics from Roman period so would visit this museum even if I had to pay...  more »
  • The museum is outside the amphitheatre and has a reconstructed roman villa all built with the same materials as the original, together with a number or original artifacts and mosaics. It has been all....  more »
  • Give yourself lots of time to view the museum and villa. The mosaics are amazing and the reconstructed Africa House villa give an indication of the splendorous place it must have been.  more »

  • I took a train from Tunis to came here that was 3hr 45min one way and return was delayed three hours. It was fun experience that I’ve never had except in Italy. I’ve seen many colosseum but this one is must see. There is ancient amphitheater at the other side of railroad. I didn’t see any tourist but if you have a time , please go there too.
  • A fascinating little museum with gorgeous mosaics, interesting artifacts, and a handful of ancient homes. The real treasure here, however, was the gentleman curator who gave me a tour of the place! He had a wealth of knowledge, was eager to converse, and really made each piece come to life. Really a must-see is you’re at the amphitheater anyway.
  • The collection of mosaics is amazing. The place inspired me to change floor in my bathroom 😉
  • Very good about the history and nice to walk around
  • Impressive mosaic original collections in multiple rooms. Behind the museum there are some ancient roman ruins from a former villa. 10 minutes walk from the colosseum so definetely a must if in the area
