Zion National Park — 2 nights

Towering cliffs of red, white, and pink Navajo sandstone, stream-carved slot canyons, and big blue sky all characterize Zion National Park.
Your list of things to see and do now includes Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway, Kolob Canyons, Emerald Pools, and other attractions. There's much more to do: take a memorable drive along Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, hike along Angel's Landing, and explore the striking landscape of The Narrows.

Capitol Reef National Park — 2 nights

Capitol Reef National Park takes its name from a particularly rugged and scenic section of the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic "wrinkle" stretching for 160 km (100 mi) along a dry plateau surrounded by white Navajo sandstone cliffs and domes, and red canyons, buttes, and rock bridges.
Change things up with a short trip to Factory Butte in Caineville (about 56 minutes away). There's still lots to do: identify plant and animal life at Capitol Reef National Park , hike along Goosenecks Overlook, admire the landmark architecture of Fruita Schoolhouse, and don't miss a visit to Fremont Petroglyphs.
