In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Step out of Honolulu to go to Kailua and see Kailua Beach Park, which is approximately 32 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: stroll through Waikiki Beach, see the interesting displays at Bishop Museum, browse the different shops at Ala Moana Center, and contemplate the long history of Iolani Palace.

Laie is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the Koolauloa District on the island of Oahu in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States. Start off your visit on the 1st (Sat): get the lay of the land with Waimea Valley, then appreciate the history behind Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau State Monument, and then make a trip to Polynesian Cultural Center. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the majestic nature at Malaekahana State Recreation Area, then stroll through Sunset Beach Park, then explore the activities along Waimea Bay, and finally get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour.
