Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
We've included these beaches for you: Fort Lauderdale Beach and Hollywood Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at Lincoln Road and Art Deco Historic District. Philadelphia to Miami Beach is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Philadelphia in August, expect Miami Beach to be somewhat warmer, temps between 91°F and 78°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Tue) early enough to catch the flight to Key West.

Key West — 4 nights

Conch Republic

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
You'll get in some beach time at Bahia Honda State Park and Sombrero Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Scuba & Snorkeling and The Turtle Hospital. Venture out of the city with trips to Sunset Park Beach (in Key Colony Beach) and Crane Point Museum & Nature Center (in Marathon). And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, explore the galleries of Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center, kick back and relax at Fort Zachary Taylor, and contemplate the long history of Truman Little White House.
