Stretching over 9.7 km (6 mi) of pristine south Maui coastline, Kihei is the island's driest and sunniest region, making it a perfect location for water activities and beach leisure.
Venture out of the city with trips to Haleakala Crater (in Haleakala National Park) and Lahaina (Lahaina Banyan Court, Lahaina Jodo Mission, &more). Spend the 3rd (Fri) exploring the striking scenery along Hana Highway - Road to Hana. There's still lots to do: get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Maui Ocean Center, admire the majestic nature at Iao Valley, enjoy the sand and surf at Wailea Beach, and examine the collection at Hale Ho'ike'ike at the Bailey House.
