Monteverde is all about natural attractions, not surprising for an eco-tourism hotspot known for its cloud forests and rich diversity of animal life.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and Curi Cancha Reserve. Change things up with these side-trips from Monteverde: Arenal Eco Zoo (in El Castillo) and Rio Celeste (in Tenorio Volcano National Park). And it doesn't end there: whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, stop by Souvenir Rosewood, take in nature's colorful creations at Monteverde Orchid Garden, and identify plant and animal life at Reserva Bosque Nuboso Santa Elena.
