The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.

Singapore, Singapore to Fukuoka is an approximately 9-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Standard Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. Sasebo — 1 night

With its U.S. Navy base, Sasebo has certainly developed pockets with an international feel: in downtown, often known as Sailor Town, you'll happen upon a number of eateries serving American-style hamburgers.
