Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 30th (Mon), Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, then make a trip to Santa Claus Village, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally find something for the whole family at Moomin Snowcastle. On your second day here, stop by LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, and finally get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.

Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Fri): examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and then gear up at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort. Here are some ideas for day two: hike along Urho Kekkonen National Park, then look for gifts at Hippupuoti Gift Shop, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel.
