Nestled on the banks of the Hooghly River, Kolkata is a booming metropolis, India's second largest city, and the country's cultural hub, known for being the birthplace of major artistic and literary movements.
Change things up with a short trip to Belur Math in Belur (about 44 minutes away). Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at Victoria Memorial Hall, take an in-depth tour of Indian Museum (Jadu Ghar), get the lay of the land with Walking tours, and don't miss a visit to Mother House.

Change things up with these side-trips from Puri: Bhubaneswar (Museum of Tribal Arts & Artifacts & Ishtadevata Temple Service-Lingaraja Temple) and Konark Sun Temple (in Konark).
