The narrow city of Ketchikan clings to the bluffs that form Revillagigedo Island's southwestern shore.
Do your shopping at Tongass National Forest and Soho Coho. Get a sense of the local culture at Caribou Creek Company and The Point. Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
On the 23rd (Mon), look for all kinds of wild species at Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and then fly down the slopes at Alyeska Ski Area. On the 24th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at Anchorage Museum and then grab your bike and head to Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.

Traveling by combination of flight and car from Ketchikan to Anchorage takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry, bus, and car; or do a combination of ferry and train.
