For centuries a major Buddhist pilgrimage site, Bamyan now represents one of the most stable places in war-torn Afghanistan.
On the 8th (Sun), explore the striking landscape of Band-e-Amir National Park. On your second day here, contemplate the long history of Cultural Landscape and Archaeological Remains of the Bamiyan Valley.

Bangkok, Thailand to Bamyan is an approximately 12-hour combination of train, flight, and car. You can also do a combination of bus, flight, and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Bangkok to Bamyan. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Mon) to allow time for the flight to Kabul.
