Oakura is a small township in New Plymouth District, Taranaki, in the western North Island of New Zealand. Get out of town with these interesting Oakura side-trips: Egmont National Park (Mount Taranaki, Pouakai Circuit, &more). There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Oakura Beach, hike along Pouakai Crossing, and stroll through Oakura Beach Holiday Park.

Hawera is the second-largest town in the Taranaki region of New Zealand's North Island, with a population of. Tawhiti Museum has been added to your itinerary. Explore Hawera's surroundings by going to Rotokare Scenic Reserve (in Eltham), Stratford (Forgotten World Highway & Stratford Speedway) and Opunake Beach (in Opunake).
