Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Step off the beaten path and head to Puget Sound Express and Bruce Lee Grave Site. Escape the urban bustle at Snoqualmie Falls and Washington Park Arboretum. There's much more to do: wander the streets of Pike Place Market, get a taste of the local shopping with Bellevue Square, examine the collection at The Museum of Flight, and take in panoramic vistas at Space Needle.

A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at The Grotto - National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother and Oregon Historical Society. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Cannon Beach and Live Laugh Love Art. Get out of town with these interesting Portland side-trips: Hug Point State Park (in Cannon Beach) and Domaine Serene (in Dayton).
