Explore hidden gems such as Mt Maunganui Main Beach and OGO Rotorua. Step out of Rotorua to go to Mount Maunganui and see Mount Maunganui Summit Track, which is approximately 1h 10 min away. There's still lots to do: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, learn about winemaking at Volcanic Hills Winery, witness a stunning natural landmark at Orakei Korako Geothermal Park & Cave, and take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback.

Sheltered in an inlet of Lake Wakatipu, the resort town of Queenstown enjoys a strong reputation for its adventuring and skiing opportunities.You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Arrowtown Village and Safaris. Take a break from the city and head to Glenorchy-Queenstown Road and Ben Lomond Track. Step out of Queenstown with an excursion to Mount Iron Track in Wanaka--about 1h 15 min away.
