Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Porthmadog: Cwm Idwal National Nature Reserve (in Bethesda), Cader Idris (in Dolgellau) and St Beuno's Church (in Clynnogfawr). There's still lots to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Snowdon, step into the grandiose world of Caernarfon Castle, pause for some serene contemplation at St. David's Church, and contemplate the long history of Portmeirion Village.
