Known for its imposing 8th-century fortress, the coastal city of Monastir offers visitors pristine beaches, a scenic waterfront, and a number of historic buildings to admire.
Venture out of the city with trips to Hammamet (Musee des Religions, Yasmin Hammamet, &more), El-Jem (Archaeological Museum of El-Djem & Amphitheatre of El Jem) and Spas & Wellness (in Port El Kantaoui). There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Bourghiba Mausoleum, get engrossed in the history at Sousse Archaeological Museum, have some family-friendly fun at Karting Monastir, and stop by Imagine Espace Creatif.
