The capital of Slovenia's Alps, Kranj allows you to stand with one foot in the nature and another in a town that's both a cultural center and a base for outdoor activities.

Venture out of the city with trips to Volčji Potok Arboretum (in Radomlje), Idrija (Idrija Kamšt & Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum) and Cerkno (Ski Centre Cerkno & Franja Partisan Hospital).
