For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Bring the kids along to Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort. Pack the 20th (Fri) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. There's more to do: get in on the family fun at SeaWorld and admire the masterpieces at Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art.

Portland to Orlando is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone difference moving from Pacific Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time is 3 hours. In May, Orlando is a bit warmer than Portland - with highs of 88°F and lows of 69°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sat) to allow time to fly to Boca Raton.

A paradise of palm trees and resorts, Boca Raton was once a hub of technological advancement.
Bring the kids along to Scuba & Snorkeling and Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Venture out of the city with trips to Norton Museum of Art (in West Palm Beach) and Palm Beach (Spas & Worth Avenue). Next up on the itinerary: stroll through Wakodahatchee Wetlands, stroll around Sugar Sand Park, browse the different shops at Mizner Park, and get to know the resident critters at Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society.
