Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Bring the kids along to Temppeliaukio Church and Helsinki Cathedral. Pack the 10th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. There's much more to do: brush up on your military savvy at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali).

Kouvola is a town and municipality in southeastern Finland. Bring the kids along to Repovesi National Park and World Heritage Site - Verla Groundwood and Board Mill. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kouvola: Kotka (Riverside Park & Sapokka Water Garden). There's still lots to do: trek along Niivermaki Nature Conservation Area.
