Istria's most popular coastal city, Rovinj blends a traditional fishing port with a modern seaside getaway.
On the 2nd (Thu), take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Martin Church, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Euphemia, then get to know the fascinating history of Main Street, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Port of Rovinj. On your second day here, Head underground at Jama - Grotta Baredine, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Euphrasius Basilica, and then explore the ancient world of Amphitheatre de Pula.

Rijeka is the principal seaport and the third-largest city in Croatia (after Zagreb and Split). Start off your visit on the 4th (Sat): take a stroll through Volosko, then kick back and relax at Medevja Beach, and then get to know the fascinating history of Lungo Mare. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: step into the grandiose world of Trsat Castle and then stroll through Beach Havisce Jadranovo.

Traveling by bus from Rovinj to Rijeka takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Expect somewhat warmer evenings in Rijeka when traveling from Rovinj in July, with lows around 71°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sun) so you can go by car to Zadar.

Start off your visit on the 7th (Tue): stroll the grounds of Cavtat Cemetery, then steep yourself in history at Walls of Dubrovnik, then pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, and finally head off the coast to Island of Lokrum.
