The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Mala Osojnica and Pokljuka Gorge. Get outdoors at Vintgar Gorge and Zipline. Spend the 23rd (Sun) exploring nature at Triglav National Park. And it doesn't end there: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, step off the mainland to explore Bled Island, take in the awesome beauty at Viševnik, and tee off at Royal Bled Golf Course.

Zurich, Switzerland to Bled is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. In July, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Fri) early enough to catch the flight back home.
