Often described as the city of laptops and lederhosen, Munich is an international center of business, engineering, research, and medicine that still maintains a rich cultural heritage and age-old traditions.Stadtmuseum im Fembo-Haus (City Museum at Fembo House) and Museum Industriekultur will appeal to museum buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Hausberg and Schlossmuseum Murnau. Explore Munich's surroundings by going to Munter-Haus (in Murnau), Garmisch-Classic (in Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and Wallbergbahn (in Rottach-Egern).
