Arcadia is a city and county seat of DeSoto County, Florida, United States. Step out of the city life by going to Highlands Hammock State Park and Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary And Rehabilitation Center. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Arcadia: Babcock Ranch Preserve (in Punta Gorda), Maxwell Groves Country Store (in Avon Park) and Sebring (Childrens Museum of The Highlands & Sebring Downtown Historic District). There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Gatorama, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, trot along with a tour on horseback, and take in the exciting artwork at Murals of Lake Placid.
