Amelia Island — 2 nights

The southernmost Sea Island off the coast of Florida, Amelia Island takes its name from Princess Amelia of England.

You'll get in some beach time at Amelia Island State Park and American Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Main Beach. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Amelia Island Historic District, get engrossed in the history at Amelia Island Museum of History, sample the fine beverages at Marlin & Barrel Distillery, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Fort Clinch State Park.

Newark to Amelia Island is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and taxi. In November, Amelia Island is somewhat warmer than Newark - with highs of 74°F and lows of 58°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Brunswick.

Brunswick — 1 night

Brunswick is a city in and the county seat of Glynn County, Georgia, United States. On the 8th (Tue), see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, get a dose of the wild on Golden Isles Carriage and Trail at Three Oaks Farm, then identify plant and animal life at Georgia Sea Turtle Center, and finally contemplate the long history of Horton House.

Georgia's oldest city, Savannah displays its colonial history proudly on every corner.

Popular historic sites such as Wormsloe Historic Site and Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters are in your itinerary. Escape the urban bustle at Skidaway Island State Park and May River Excursions. Venture out of the city with trips to Bluffton (The Church of the Cross & Old Town Bluffton). Tybee Island — 1 night

Tybee Island is a city and barrier island located in Chatham County, Georgia, 18 miles (29 km) east of Savannah, United States. Start off your visit on the 12th (Sat): enjoy the sand and surf at Back River Beach, take in the waterfront at Tybee Pier, and then visit a coastal fixture at Cockspur lighthouse.
