Known for its impressive hillside cascade of colorful stone buildings down to the Mediterranean shore, Amalfi is the cultural and commercial heart of southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Step out of the city life by going to Valle delle Ferriere and Noleggio Barche Blue Marine. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Castello dell'Abate and Monte Faito e Panorama. Explore Amalfi's surroundings by going to Pagani (Parrocchia di S. Alfonso De' Liguori & Santuario della Madonna delle Galline), Cattedrale Nocera Inferiore (in Nocera Inferiore) and Castellabate (Piazza 10 Ottobre 1123 & Borgo Medievale di Castellabate). Dedicate the 11th (Thu) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Badia della Santissima Trinita', explore the ancient world of Villa romana San Giovanni in Palco, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Chiesa San Sebastiano, and contemplate the long history of Santuario di Sant'Anna.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major airport is Naples International Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
