8 days in Alligator Point & Tallahassee Itinerary

Alligator Point is an unincorporated community on St. Kick off your visit on the 11th (Fri): take a tour by water with Allegro Sailing. On the next day, immerse yourself in nature at Bald Point State Park and then immerse yourself in nature at Ochlockonee River State Park.

Minneapolis to Alligator Point is an approximately 7.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also do a combination of flight and car; or drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Minneapolis to Alligator Point. Traveling from Minneapolis in March, expect Alligator Point to be much hotter, temps between 74°F and 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Tallahassee.

Venture out of the city with trips to Marianna (Hinson Conservation and Recreation Area & Florida Caverns State Park), Orman House Historic State Park (in Apalachicola) and Saint George Island State Park (in St. George Island).

Getting from Alligator Point to Tallahassee by car takes about 1.5 hours. In March, plan for daily highs up to 74°F, and evening lows to 48°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Fri) so you can fly back home.
