Take a trip to Abu Dhabi to discover a modern metropolis built on a strip of land jutting out into the Persian Gulf.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Sat): take in the spiritual surroundings of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and then find something for the whole family at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. On the 8th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: buy something for everyone on your list at Marina Mall, contemplate the long history of Heritage Village, then go for a walk through The Corniche, and finally steep yourself in history at Qasr Al Hosn.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Abu Dhabi is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from Arabian Standard Time to Gulf Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Kuwait City in January, things will get somewhat warmer in Abu Dhabi: highs are around 28°C and lows about 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Al Ain.

Drive from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Dubai.

Take a break from Dubai with a short trip to Sharjah Museums in Sharjah, about 32 minutes away. Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 11th (Wed) at Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark. There's lots more to do: take in panoramic vistas at Burj Khalifa, indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour, browse the eclectic array of goods at Dubai Spice Souk, and browse the different shops at Souk Madinat Jumeirah.

Getting from Al Ain to Dubai by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. In January, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Fri) early enough to fly back home.
