Monza is a city and comune on the River Lambro, a tributary of the Po in the Lombardy region of Italy, about 15km north-northeast of Milan. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Monza: Valmadrera (Monumento Naturale Regionale del Sasso di Preguda, Santuario di San Martino, & more), Malgrate (Chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate, Cappella dei Morti di Peste, & more) and Santuary of Our Lady of Miracles (in Saronno). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 4th (Sat) at Acquaworld. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Parco di Monza, get in on the family fun at Leolandia, explore the world behind art at Museo e Tesoro del Duomo di Monza, and pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica Santa Maria della Croce.

If you are flying in from Zimbabwe, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Milano Linate Airport and Il Caravaggio International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 9°C in January, and nighttime lows around 0°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
