Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
Step out of the city life by going to Sylvan Lake and Presidential Trail. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Mammoth Site of Hot Springs and Prairie Berry Winery. Change things up with a short trip to Wind Cave National Park in Wind Cave National Park (about 44 minutes away). The adventure continues: explore and take pictures at Iron Mountain Road, explore the striking landscape at Needles Eye Tunnel, take a memorable drive along Needles Highway, and trot along with a tour on horseback.

Start off your visit on the 10th (Thu): get great views at 165 Scenic Overlook and then explore the activities along Table Rock Lake. On the next day, whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, take a stroll through Historic Downtown Branson, and then see the interesting displays at Veterans Memorial Museum.
