Renowned for its Georgian architecture, Westport sits in the shadows of Croagh Patrick, considered the holiest mountain in Ireland.

Take a break from the city and head to The Great Western Greenway and The Lost Valley. Cork to Westport is an approximately 3.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or take a train. July in Westport sees daily highs of 20°C and lows of 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Achill Island.

Kick off your visit on the 18th (Sun): steep yourself in history at Ceide Fields and then take in the pleasant sights at Downpatrick Head.
