Anchorage — 60 nights

The City of Lights and Flowers

Home to nearly half of Alaska's population, the port city of Anchorage covers a staggering area of over 4,900 sq km (1,900 sq mi) surrounded by mountains.
Get in touch with nature at Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and Knik Glacier Tours. Step off the beaten path and head to Fishing Charters & Tours and Byron Glacier Trail. Venture out of the city with trips to Whittier (Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, Begich Towers Incorporated, &more), Six Mile Creek (in Kenai Fjords National Park) and Kenai (Resurrection Pass & Crescent Lake). Make the 16th (Sun) an awe-inspiring day at Chugach State Park. Spend the 24th (Mon) exploring nature at McHugh Creek Day Use Area. There's lots more to do: test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, make a trip to Turnagain Arm, explore the activities along Lake Hood Harbor, and appreciate the views at Hatcher Pass.
