Divided into neighborhoods with distinct characters and cultural heritages, San Diego sits just north of the Mexican border and offers visitors a blend of tourist attractions, including a lively nightlife, diverse cuisine, and a thriving musical scene.
Visiting Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and La Jolla Cove will get you outdoors. Head to Gaslamp Quarter and Racine & Laramie Tobacconistfor plenty of shopping. Step out of San Diego to go to Carlsbad and see Carlsbad State Beach, which is approximately 32 minutes away. The adventure continues: immerse yourself in nature at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, kick back and relax at La Jolla Shores Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Children's Pool, and meet the residents at San Diego Zoo.

Philadelphia to San Diego is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. The time zone difference when traveling from Philadelphia to San Diego is minus 3 hours.
