For shopping fun, head to Dotonbori or Kyoto Station Building. Gion and Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from Kyoto with a short trip to Osaka Castle in Osaka, about 1h 10 min away.
