A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Spend the 26th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. On the 29th (Wed), spend a fun day on foot with Walking tours. The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Step out of Darwin with an excursion to Litchfield National Park in Batchelor--about 1h 45 min away. Spend the 5th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Spend the 11th (Tue) on the water with a fishing tour. There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, kick back and relax at Mindil Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Crocosaurus Cove, and cool off at Wave Lagoon.
