Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Barrigona Beach and Bolas Locas Mini Golf. Explore Tamarindo's surroundings by going to Costa Rica Sailing Center (in Playa Potrero), El Viejo Wetlands (in Area de Conservacion Guanacaste) and Nosara (Jungle Mini Golf, Nosara & MAEL's ABSTRACT ART GALLERY). Spend the 10th (Sat) exploring nature at Barra Honda National Park. The adventure continues: explore and take pictures at Kingpin Sportfishing, have some family-friendly fun at Hacienda El Roble & Adventure Center, get in on the family fun at Black Stallion Eco Park & Estates, and stop by Papaya Con Leche.

For other places to visit, maps, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Tamarindo online itinerary planner .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airport is Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 94°F in March, and nighttime lows around 71°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
