Pamplona — 5 nights

Pamplona or Iruña is the historical capital city of Navarre, in Spain, and of the former Kingdom of Navarre. The city is famous worldwide for the running of the bulls during the San Fermín festival, which is held annually from July 6 to 14. Get some historical perspective at Monasterio de Leyre and Cerco de Artajona. Step off the beaten path and head to Bodegas Tritium and Bodega Conde de los Andes. Change things up with these side-trips from Pamplona: Iglesia de Santa Maria la Real (in Olite), Iglesia Santa Maria de Palacio (in Logrono) and Altanza (in Fuenmayor). And it doesn't end there: don't miss a visit to Tourist Office of Sos del Rey Catolico Palacio De Sada, see the interesting displays at Museo Universidad de Navarra, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia de San Nicolas, and learn about winemaking at Bodegas y Vinedos Gomez Cruzado.
