Louisbourg is an unincorporated community and former town located in Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Regional Municipality.HistoryThe French military founded the Fortress of Louisbourg in 1713 and its fortified seaport on the southwest part of the harbour, naming it in honour of Louis XIV. Start off your visit on the 23rd (Sun): appreciate the history behind Sydney Merchant Mariners Memorial and then see the interesting displays at Cape Breton Miners' Museum.

The largest city on Canada's eastern coastline, Halifax boast a rich maritime history and occupies a strategically important location with one of the world's greatest natural harbors.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Tue): take some stellar pictures from Halifax Citadel National Historic Site of Canada, admire the landmark architecture of St. Mary's Basilica, then stroll the grounds of Old Burying Ground, and finally learn about all things military at Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. On the 26th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: admire the natural beauty at Halifax Public Gardens, get engrossed in the history at Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, then explore the activities along Sullivan's Pond, and finally kick back and relax at Lawrencetown Beach.

You can fly from Louisbourg to Halifax in 3.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In June, daily temperatures in Halifax can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 26th (Wed) early enough to drive to Lunenburg.

An hour's drive from Halifax's international airport, Luneburg boasts both colorful buildings and a colorful history, as well as status as a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Thu): take in the local highlights with Walking tours, look for gifts at The Mariner's Daughter, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Lunenburg Historic District, then sample the fine beverages at Ironworks Distillery, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St. John's Anglican Church.

Canning is a village in northeastern Kings County, Nova Scotia located at the crossroads of Route 221 and Route 358.HistoryThe area was originally settled by Acadians who were expelled in 1755 during the Acadian Expulsion. Start off your visit on the 28th (Fri): trek along Cape Split Trailhead, do a tasting at Planters Ridge, then learn about winemaking at Domaine de Grand Pre, and finally steep yourself in history at Grand Pre National Historic Site.
