Ouray

Ouray is a Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous city of Ouray County, Colorado, United States. On the 26th (Mon), take in breathtaking views at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and then see the top attractions with Sightseeing Tours. On the 27th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: walk around Box Canyon Waterfall & Park and then see Off-Road Tours.

Denver to Ouray is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and car. Traveling from Denver in July, expect Ouray to be little chillier, temps between 74°F and 52°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 27th (Tue) so you can go by car to Durango.

Durango

Originally a frontier mining town, Durango is known today for its scenic setting, outdoor activities, and the 1880s steam-powered railway that takes visitors through sections of the mountains where roads don't reach.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Wed): see Off-Road Tours and then let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour. On the 29th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Historic Downtown Durango and then whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.

You can drive from Ouray to Durango in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and shuttle; or take a shuttle. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Ouray in July: highs in Durango hover around 86°F, while lows dip to 54°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Mesa Verde National Park.

Mesa Verde National Park

Whereas most national parks are primarily devoted to showcasing unique and special landscapes, Mesa Verde National Park focuses on ancient human habitation.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Fri): explore the ancient world of Spruce Tree House, explore the ancient world of Balcony House, and then contemplate the long history of Cliff Palace. On your second day here, delve into the distant past at Long House and then make a trip to Step House.
