The capital and largest city of Oman, the coastal city of Muscat boasts numerous historical sites and pristine modern developments.
Muscat is known for historic sites, nightlife, and museums. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, explore the engaging exhibits at The National Museum of Oman, and see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Muscat is an approximately 6-hour flight. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuwait City to Muscat due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Kuwait City in April, plan for somewhat warmer nights in Muscat, with lows around 78°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Mon) early enough to fly to Salalah.

Salalah — 2 nights

The Sultanate's second city, Salalah has become known as a southerly counterpoint to the capital in the north.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Tue): get outside with Wadi Darbat, then delve into the distant past at Sumhuram Old City, and then see the interesting displays at Museum of the Frankincense Land. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Wed): Head underground at Marneef Cave, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Al Mughsail Beach, and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Nabi Ayoub's Tomb.

Fly from Muscat to Salalah in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Muscat in April, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Salalah: temperatures range from 89°F by day to 77°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Wed) so you can catch the flight back home.
