Jerusalem of Lithuania

The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, boasts an impressive medieval quarter--one of the continent's largest and a World Heritage Site with almost 2,000 historical buildings.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Vilnil. Museum of illusions and Terra Recognita. Your inner history buff will appreciate Gate of Dawn and Church Of St Peter And St Paul. When in Vilnius, make a side trip to see Trakai Island Castle Museum in Trakai, approximately Trakai away. There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of Gediminas Castle Tower, take in the exciting artwork at Vitrazo Manufaktura, stop by Uzupis, and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Hill of Three Crosses.

Lithuania travel guide

4.4
Characterized by the majestic Baltic coastline and adjacent white sands, Lithuania boasts lush green forests, hidden lakes, and coastal wetlands. A nation with a turbulent history, Lithuania houses the remains of a former nuclear site and the remnants of defenses used to strengthen the frontier of the Tsarist empire. At the same time, it pays homage to its national heroes, honored in sculpture parks and museums throughout the country. Today, Lithuania boasts a thriving musical, cultural, and visual arts scene, hosting a range of festivals and concerts year-round.
