An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Auttikongas and Ranua Zoo. Get outdoors at Syvasenvaara Fell and Fishing Charters & Tours. There's much more to do: stroll the grounds of German Soldier s Cemetery, see the interesting displays at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, fly down the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, and get engrossed in the history at Rovaniemi Local History Museum.
