Kenmare

— 5 nights
Known for its wide range of restaurants and traditional pubs, Kenmare sits along two major Irish tourist routes, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara.
Explore Kenmare's surroundings by going to Garinish Island (in Glengarriff), Gougane Barra National Forest Park (in Gougane Barra) and Inchydoney Beach (in Clonakilty). Spend the 19th (Sun) exploring the striking scenery along Slea Head Drive. Spend a day of island exploring on the 20th (Mon) at Skellig Michael. There's still lots to do: walk around Gleninchaquin Park, trek along Old Kenmare Road, look for gifts at Lorge Chocolatier, and take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports.

For traveler tips, ratings, reviews, and other tourist information, go to the Kenmare online holiday planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Cork Airport and Shannon Airport. In April, daily temperatures in Kenmare can reach 56°F, while at night they dip to 42°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
