Hohhot to Hulunbuir is an approximately 23-hour car ride. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) early enough to drive to Xilinhot.

Xilinhot is a county-level city which serves as the seat of government for the Xilin Gol league in Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China. On the 14th (Fri), see Xilinguole Ancient Great Wall Site and then identify plant and animal life at Xilinguole Grassland Nature Reserve. Keep things going the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Beizi Temple, explore the activities along Jiuqu River of Xilinhot, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Xilin Nine Bendings River.

You can drive from Hulunbuir to Xilinhot in 17 hours. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Qingshuihe County.

Qingshuihe County is a county of Inner Mongolia, People's Republic of China, bordering Shanxi province to the south and east. Start off your visit on the 16th (Sun): explore the ancient world of Ming Dynasty Great Wall of Qingshui River Region.

You can drive from Xilinhot to Qingshuihe County in 8 hours. On the 16th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Hohhot.

Hohhot, abbreviated Hushi, formerly known as Kweisui, is the capital of Inner Mongolia in North China, serving as the region's administrative, economic and cultural centre. Start off your visit on the 17th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Hohhot Five-Pagoda Temple (Wuta Si), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Xilitu Zhao Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Dazhao Temple, delve into the distant past at Hohhot Mosque (Great Mosque), then get engrossed in the history at Neimenggu Bowuguan (Inner Mongolia Museum), and finally see the interesting displays at Inner Mongolia Museum.
